The Polyform Norway A5 Buoy is a large-format, ultra-heavy-duty marine buoy engineered for demanding professional, commercial, and industrial applications where maximum strength, reliability, and longevity are essential. Manufactured in Norway to Polyform’s exacting standards, the A5 buoy is constructed from proprietary marine-grade PVC, delivering exceptional impact resistance, outstanding UV stability, and superior structural durability in the most challenging marine environments.

Built with seamless, one-piece construction, the A5 buoy is pressure-tested to ensure consistent performance under significant load and prolonged exposure. Its thick, reinforced walls provide excellent resistance to abrasion, compression, and punctures, making it considerably more robust than lower-grade alternatives. Unlike inferior buoys that soften, distort, or degrade over time, the Polyform A5 is engineered to retain its shape, buoyancy, and structural integrity season after season—even in high-stress conditions.

The Polyform A5 buoy is designed for heavy-duty mooring, marking, and flotation applications, including:

  • Mooring large yachts, workboats, commercial vessels, and floating structures

  • Marking anchor lines, channels, hazards, and navigation points

  • Supporting heavy floating lines, nets, and marine infrastructure

  • Professional marine, aquaculture, offshore, and industrial use

Featuring a moulded-in rope hole, the A5 buoy allows for secure, reliable rigging without the need for additional fittings. This integrated design minimises weak points while improving overall strength, handling, and ease of deployment in real-world marine conditions.

Available in a range of high-visibility colours, the Polyform A5 buoy ensures excellent visibility on the water, enhancing safety and identification in all light and weather conditions. Whether deployed in busy harbours, exposed coastlines, or offshore environments, this buoy delivers dependable, long-lasting performance you can rely on.

Why Choose the Polyform Norway A5 Buoy?

  • Genuine Polyform Norway quality – the global benchmark for marine buoys

  • Tough, impact-resistant, UV-stabilised marine-grade PVC

  • Seamless, one-piece construction for maximum strength and reliability

  • Superior long-term buoyancy and shape retention

  • Designed for professional, commercial, and industrial marine use

  • Easy to rig with integrated moulded rope hole

  • High-visibility colour options for enhanced safety and recognition

Polyform Norway
World-leading fender design, trusted by professionals since 1955.
Innovation, strength, and performance in every Polyform fender.
Polyform Norway created the world’s first inflatable fender and continues to set the global standard. Built using patented POLYMATIQ® technology and reinforced rope holds, each fender delivers unmatched durability and protection for boats of all sizes.

Choosing the Right Fender Size

Get the best protection for your boat by matching fender size to vessel length, mooring style, and conditions.

The right fender size makes all the difference in protecting your boat from impact damage. As a general rule, use one inch of fender diameter for every 4–5 feet of boat length, and always go larger for rougher waters or heavier craft. Consider how and where you moor — side-on docking needs more coverage than a fore-and-aft tie. Whether you need cylindrical fenders, spherical buoys, or specialist shapes, we'll help you choose the right fit for peace of mind on the water.

Polyform Norway A-Series buoys are widely regarded as the industry standard for marine buoys. They are manufactured using high-quality, flexible PVC with a thick, seamless wall construction, making them exceptionally durable, impact-resistant, and UV-stable. Unlike cheaper alternatives, A-Series buoys are designed to withstand constant exposure to saltwater, sunlight, and harsh weather without cracking, fading, or losing shape.

-Series buoys are extremely versatile and commonly used as mooring buoys, marker buoys, fishing floats, pot buoys, and general marine floatation. They are suitable for use in marinas, harbours, rivers, lakes, and offshore environments, making them a reliable choice for both recreational and commercial applications.

The right size depends on your application and water conditions. Smaller sizes (A0–A2) are ideal for light-duty use such as small craft moorings or fishing pots, while larger sizes (A3–A7) provide greater buoyancy and are better suited for heavier moorings, navigation markers, or professional marine use. If you’re unsure, selecting a slightly larger buoy will always provide better stability and visibility.

You can also see our user guide for more assistance.

With proper use and installation, Polyform A-Series buoys are built to last for many years. Their heavy-duty construction and UV protection significantly extend their lifespan compared to lower-quality alternatives, making them a cost-effective investment for boat owners and marine professionals alike.

No special adaptor is needed, however, we do offer a handy fender pump which is suitable for upto A4 and F5 fenders.

If you have a car tyre pump then our adaptor also works for all size Polyform fenders (exc F13 and A7 buoys)

Do you have a push/pull pump often used for SUP’s or inflatables? Then one of these nozzles also works great!
